Great Western Railroad - Formerly owned and operated by Westcan Rail
This trackage is situated between Assiniboia thence south and west to Braken - Climax and north and west from Meyronne to Swift Current, SK
RWM analysed and evaluated rail assets then developed an approach and a business plan which culminated in the purchase of the Shaunavon, Altawan. Notekeu and Vanguard Subdivisions from Westcan Rail, including:
- rail inspection
- establishment of fair market value of assets (rail, ties, track materials, bridges, land)
- business plan sufficient to comply with the due diligence processes of the federal, provincial and local governments, national and provincial financial institutions, and individual investors
- historic traffic flows
- marketing forecasts for agricultural production and shipping aa well as industrial shipping
- corporate governance
- public information meetings
- raising capital including submissions to charted banks and credit unions
- equity sales
- compliance with the requirements of the Saskatchewan Securities commission
- operating plans
- safety management plan
